Our first real on-screen look at the galaxy far, far away in the years just after Return of the Jedi.
Writer and executive producer Jon Favreau of Iron Manfame leads a team helping to chart a new course for Star Wars—The Mandalorian to exclusively premiere when Disney+ launches in the United States on November 12.
The live-action series follows the adventures of a masked bounty hunter (Pedro Pascal) on the lawless fringes of the galaxy. Pascal to be joined by cast members Gina Carano (who plays the former Rebellion shock trooper Cara Dune), Bill Burr, Julia Jones, Nick Nolte, Carl Weathers (“Greef Carga”), and Ming-Na Wen.
Disney+ a subscription-based platform will serve as the new home for Walt Disney Studios films as well as original, exclusive Disney+ content like Lucasfilm’s new Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, and a full slate of live-action Marvel shows.
You’ll be able to stream the first episode of The Mandalorian on Disney+ right at launch. Disney’s new direct-to-consumer streaming service will be available in the U.S. and Canada starting for $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year.
